Greetings Pool Shark families,

Congratulations on a great meet against Sun Prairie! Many of our swimmers had best times and/or competed in new events and did a great job! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered to help make our meet run smoothly and effectively. Without you, meets would not be possible!

Individual and team results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand during practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach to for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes at anytime.

The registration deadline for the Meet AT Mt.Horeb (7/17/21) is tomorrow (7/12/21) at 11:30 pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already.

The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. We do not need volunteers at away meets. 

• Tuesday is our Swim-a-thon fundraiser! If you do not have a pledge form, check your family mailbox at the pool or ask a Coach for one! We ask that only swimmers who are participating in the Swim-a-thon come to practice on Tuesday! Please RSVP on our website (if you have not done so already) so we can plan for the number of swimmers participating. Prizes will be given to the highest fundraisers, and swimmers who complete the most lengths in each age group. 
• Parents - We need volunteers for the Swim-a-thon! Thank you to those who have already signed up! We still need lap counters for all practices except the 10 and under practice. Please sign up under this event on our website. 
• Conference Dual T-shirts - One of our very own Pool Shark parents came up with an awesome design for a T-shirt for our Conference Dual meet vs. Mt. Horeb on July 24th! Shirts will sell for $15 each. $2 from each shirt sold will go back to our team! Mt. Horeb will be selling the shirts and earning money for their team as well for the meet. This is a great way to show some Conference Dual meet spirit and support our team! Ordering closes this Friday, July 16th at 9 am! • Conference Dual meet requirement reminder - In order to be eligible to swim for Conference awards at the Conference Dual meet, your swimmer(s) must have competed in at least 3 dual meets this season. If your swimmer(s) do not meet this requirement, they are able to swim in the Conference Dual meet, but will not be eligible for Conference ribbons or medals. 
• End of the season Awards Night and Pool Party! - Our end of the season Awards night and Pool Party will be Monday, July 26th from 6-8 at the outdoor pool. Coaches will hand out Conference ribbons and medals to those who earned them at that time, and will meet with their age groups for some closing comments and comradery. After coaches have met with their age-groups, the pool will be open for a Pool Party for swimmers and coaches only. This is meant to be a fun culminating event for our swimmers and coaches. All pool rules and regulations MUST be followed to keep everyone safe. Please RSVP for this event on our website if you have not done so already. 
• Madison Swimming website - If you are wondering how your swimmer(s) time(s) compare to others in our conference, this is a great resource! A parent from Sun Prairie created this website 2 years ago to help motivate swimmers from the Tri-County and All-City swim leagues. He updates team results and individual times weekly. This site does not have anything to do with our end of the season Conference meet, but serves as a reference for times throughout the league.
