Greetings Pool Shark families,

Welcome to our 2022 summer Pool Sharks season! If you are receiving this email, you are officially registered with us for our upcoming summer season. 

Practices start Tuesday, May 31st. All practices will be at the indoor pool through 6/7. There are 2 options per day. 3:45-4:45 pm or 5-6pm. You may choose to come to any practice that works for your schedule. We have 170 swimmers registered for this season! This means we will have a lot of swimmers in our pool and locker rooms. Practices will be much more crowded than what we had for spring swim practices. In order to get the most out of our practice time, we ask that you talk to your swimmers about focusing on swimming and best behavior at practice and in the locker rooms. We had some issues with both during spring swim, and it will not be tolerated moving into our summer season. If coaches are having behavior issues in the pool, the swimmer will be asked to sit out to talk with the coach about the behavior. If the behavior continues, the swimmer will be asked to be done with practice for the day. The coach will follow up with the parent(s) at that point. 

Our pool and locker rooms are BRAND NEW! We want to keep them as nice as possible for years to come. If we continue to have behavior issues in the locker rooms, we will have to shut them down. We really do not want to have to resort to that option. Here are some recommendations we have:

1. If possible, have your swimmer(s) come dressed in their swim suit, and leave in their suit. 

2. If possible, escort your swimmer(s) in and out of the locker room. 

3. Please talk to your swimmer(s) about appropriate behavior in the locker rooms and pool. Encourage them to make good choices, and if they see someone misbehaving to tell a coach immediately.

SAVE THE DATE - We will be hosting a parent meeting on Thursday June 2nd at 6:30 pm at the Outdoor Pool. The meeting will take place on the bleachers. You will get a chance to meet the coaching staff and be informed on what to expect for the season. Swimmers in attendance will get a popsicle and will get to play with the coaches on the playground while parents attend the meeting. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be held via Zoom and a link will be sent in an email that day. 

Bag Tag Fundraiser has been extended through 5/27!

Our Bag Tag fundraiser has been extended for a few more days! If you missed out and still want to order, please get your orders in by the end of the day on Friday! Attached below is a picture of the bag tag attached to a swim bag/backpack. They are a good sized bag tag and very durable. There are 4 designs to choose from and can be personalized with your swimmer's name. Bag Tags are $10 each, with $2 from each bag tag being donated to the Pool Sharks. Please fill out the form below and email your order directly to our seller. Order deadlines for bag tags are the end of the day 5/27.
