Meet deadlines and updates
Greetings Pool Shark families,
Congratulations on a GREAT meet against Sun Prairie! They are the defending conference champs and have some great swimmers who were able to push and challenge us!
Individual and team results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand during practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach to for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes at anytime.
**WE HAVE 2 REGISTRATION DEADLINES THIS WEEK!!**
The registration deadline for the HOME meet vs Mt. Horeb (7/16/22) is TOMORROW (7/11/22) at 11:30 pm. Please declare your swimmer if you have not done so already and sign up for a volunteer job as this is a home meet.
**We will be swimming our makeup meet vs Mazomanie next Wednesday night 7/20/22 at our outdoor pool.
The registration deadline for this HOME meet next Wednesday night vs Mazomanie (7/20/22) is this Friday (7/15/22). Please declare your swimmer if you have not done so already and sign up for a volunteer job as this is a home meet.
The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. If you have a swimmer in the meet, make sure to sign up for a volunteer job to fulfill our volunteer requirements. We still have many positions open that need to be filled!
2022 Swim-a-thon -
**Swim-a-thon is coming up this Tuesday 7/12!
information and pledge forms have been placed in your family mailbox at the pool. If you need more than one form, there are extras in the back of the Pool Shark mailbox. This weekend is a great opportunity to ask friends and family to sponsor your swimmer for the Swim-a-thon!!
The Swim-a-thon will be Tuesday, July 12th - During regular practice times. If your swimmer is not participating in the Swim-a-thon, we ask that they do not attend practice that day.
**PARENTS** - We need your help with this! Sign up on Swimtopia to be a counter at your child’s practice. A chair will be provided for you to sit at the end of the lane and paper and pencil will be provided to keep track of pool lengths. Thanks to those of you who have already signed up! We are still in need of counters at the 6:45 am practice and High Performance.
Swim-a-thon has been added as an event in Swimtopia, so if your swimmer(s) will be participating, please mark them as attending the event so we have an idea of how many swimmers we will have that day.
Tri-County Conference Meet update -
The Tri-County Conference Championship meet is July 30th and 31st and will be held at our indoor pool! This is a 2 day championship meet. Each team is only allowed 3 entries per event for this meet. Coaches will make decisions based on times and swimmer availability. If you are not sure if your swimmer would qualify for the conference meet, please reach out to their coach/coaches in the next few weeks to get their thoughts so you and your family can plan accordingly. We will need everyone who is interested in swimming at the conference meet to declare by July 18th so coaches can start putting line ups together.
I will be hosting a Zoom meeting tonight, July 10th at 7pm to answer questions about the conference meet and to talk about our team hosting the conference meet in 2023! A link for the meeting will be sent out in a separate email this afternoon. Please plan to attend to get your questions answered about conference!
We are still looking for volunteers for the Tri-County Conference Swim meet! - Thank you to those of you who have already signed up! Every team is required to provide timers, clerk of course and officials to help run this championship meet! A volunteer sign up has been opened for the conference meet on our website. We are still in need of 2 clerk of course - 1 Sunday AM 9-12, and 1 Sunday PM 12:30-3:30. We are still in need of timers - 1 Saturday PM 12:30-3:30, 3 Sunday AM 9-12, 3 Sunday PM 12:30-3:30. Please sign up on our website if you are able to help!
