Meet results and weekly updates
Hello Pool Shark families,
Congratulations on a great meet against Spring Green! Even with the heat, we were able to see our swimmers improve and continue to drop time!
Individual results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand during practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach to for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes at anytime.
- Practice changes this week - It's hard to believe this is our last week of Pool Sharks! This week our coaches will be focusing on refining our swimmer's starts, turns and strokes for the Tri-County Conference Championship meet this weekend! Since the meet will be held in our indoor pool, we are going to move our High Performance, and 5:30pm practices on Monday and Wednesday to the indoor pool to get some extra practice in the pool we will be competing in this weekend. This will be on Monday and Wednesday only this week. The 6:45 am practice will remain at the indoor pool all week and we will run all other practices at the outdoor pool on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as normal.
- Swim-a-thon donations - We are still collecting Swim-a-thon donations! Donations can be turned into the Swim-a-thon folder in our Pool Shark mailbox at the outdoor pool as soon as possible. The last day we will be collecting donations is this Thursday, July 28th at the 5:30pm practice. Checks can be made out to Sauk Prairie Pool Sharks. Donations should be placed in an envelope labeled with your swimmer's name and age group. Swim-a-thon awards will be announced at the end of the season Awards night and Pool Party on August 1st.
- SAVE THE DATE - Our end of the season awards ceremony and pool party will be Monday August 1st from 6-8:30pm at the Outdoor Pool. This is open to all Pool Sharks and a great way to celebrate the end of the season. Swim-a-thon and conference awards will be given out, followed by open swim for our Pool Sharks. The baby pool area will not be open. There will be a parent meeting from 6-6:30 in the bleachers. There will not be food, so please feed your swimmers before they come. Pool Shark plaques and annual stickers will be for sale this evening as well. We hope to see you there!
- Food Drive results are in! Congratulations to the 9-10 age group for collecting the most items (155) to donate to our local food pantry! They will receive a special treat at the end of the season pool party on August 1st! Thanks to all our Pool Sharks and families who donated. Together, we collected and donated 407 items to our local food pantry! Way to go Pool Sharks!
We have had a great season, and look forward to capping it off this week with the Tri-County Invite and Tri-County Conference swim meets this week! If your swimmer is not swimming at the conference meet, but you will be around, feel free to stop by and check it out at our indoor pool! It is quite an event! Best of luck to all our swimmers!
