Meet sign ups are OPEN / Baby shark info
Good evening Pool Shark families,
Thank you for a great first night of practice! It was awesome to see so many swimmers back in the pool!
Meet sign ups are now OPEN! Meets are not required, but if you commit to a meet, we expect your swimmer to be there as our coaches put in a lot of time putting line ups together. Swimmers must be declared for a meet by Monday night (11:59pm) the week of the meet. Our first meet is Saturday, June 10th at Wisconsin Dells. The deadline to sign up for this meet will be next Monday, June 5th at 11:59pm.
The sign up process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. You can sign up one meet at a time, or all of them ahead of time if you know your schedule. We will be talking more about meets at the parent meeting next Monday night, but wanted to let people know that they can start signing up now. If you aren't sure, you can wait until after the parent meeting to make a decision.
We have NOT opened up volunteer sign ups yet. We will do this after the parent meeting next Monday night so all parents understand the volunteer requirements, what they are signing up for, and how to do it.
BABY SHARKS - If your swimmer evaluated and was placed in Baby Sharks they cannot complete the length of the pool at this time. They will be marked as "non-competitive" in Swimtopia and will not be eligible to swim in a meet until they swim a length and have been approved to swim a meet by a coach. If your swimmer is new, and has not been evaluated yet, please do not sign them up for a meet until they have been evaluated and approved to swim a meet by a coach.
Also, the warm water pool is only available for our team during the 4pm practice this week and next week. We would prefer to have our Baby Sharks work in that pool. If you have a Baby Shark, please try to bring them to the 4pm practice while we are at the indoor pool. Once we transition to our summer practice schedule, Baby Sharks will need to come to the 5:30pm practice at the outdoor pool. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Lastly, thank you for using the high school hallway to enter and exit the locker rooms and find your swimmers after practice. We really do not want to use the main pool doors to enter and exit, as the entryway floor gets wet, slippery and dirty. Parents can watch from the mezzanine or from the main entryway, but are not allowed on deck during practice. If your swimmer needs you, we will be sure to find you. Thank you for your cooperation!
Have a great night and we will see you at the pool!
