Hello Pool Shark families,

Tomorrow we will be swimming our first meet against Wisconsin Dells AT the Wisconsin Dells outdoor pool! All of our pool addresses and maps are on our website under "Resources", "Pool locations". The address for the Wisconsin Dells outdoor pool is

300 La Crosse Street, Wisconsin Dells, WI

If this is your first swim meet, please see the "Swim Meet 101" section under the "Resources" tab on our website, or click the link below to know what to expect and how to prepare for away meets. Since this is an away meet, we do not need volunteers. 

Swim meet 101

• Please arrive between 7 and 7:15 am. Our warm ups start at 7:30 and end at 7:50 am. The meet will start at 8 am.
• If something happens between now and the start of the meet and your swimmer is not able to attend, please email our Head Coaches ASAP to let them know. poolsharkscoach@gmail.com
• If you want to see what your swimmer is swimming in the meet, go to the "Meets and Events" tab on our website and click on the gray meet entry box (that is marked closed). You will be able to see your swimmer(s) and what they are scheduled to swim tomorrow with the event number. If you have not uploaded the free Swimtopia App, it is very helpful in signing your swimmer up for meets and seeing what they are swimming.
• The forecast looks gorgeous for tomorrow! Please come prepared with extra towels, blankets and warm clothes for the beginning of the meet, and pop-ups, sunscreen and water for when it warms up.
• Tomorrow's theme for the meet is Jersey Day! Come dressed in your favorite team jersey to show your team spirit during the meet! (swimsuit underneath of course!)
• Heat sheets will be for sale at the concession stand as well as other concession items. The concession stand is CASH ONLY.
• Spectators will not be allowed on deck. Our team usually sets up on the side of the pool behind the starting blocks under the pine trees, near the bleachers. Clerk of course is located in the far corner of the pool by the concession stand. 
• This is the shortest pool in our conference! (making it one of the most popular pools in our conference!) Most of the outdoor pools in our conference are 25 meter pools. (our outdoor pool included) This pool is very short. It is 22 yards long. If this is your first meet, it is a great pool to start in. If you are a returning swimmer, your times will most likely be much faster than your seed time listed since this pool is shorter. 
• Once your child is done swimming all the events they are signed up for, you may leave. If you are not sure, please ask a coach to be sure they are done swimming before you leave.

We are looking forward to kicking our season off with our meet tomorrow! Please remember this is the first meet of the season, and our swimmers are still learning. Please be a positive supporter of your child and their efforts, no matter what the outcome. Many of them will be nervous for the first meet, and they are trying their best. Encourage them to display good sportsmanship, be good teammates, and have fun!
