Hello Pool Shark families,

There is a lot of important information in this email, so please read through the entire email so you are informed.

Congratulations on a big against Spring Green! We are continuing to see improvements in our swimmer's times and strokes as we approach the end of our season. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to make our meet a success! Meets would not be possible without you!

Individual results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand during practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach to for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes at anytime.

The registration deadline for the meet AT Cross Plains (7/22/23) AND for our Tri-County Conference meet (7/29 & 7/30) is TOMORROW (7/17/22) at 11:59 pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already. This is a HARD deadline as line ups need to be done this week for the conference meet!

The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. We do not need volunteers for the Cross Plains meet, as it is an away meet, but we are still looking for volunteer shifts to be covered for the Tri-County conference meet!  Thanks to all who have already signed up to help! You can see what is still available in Swimtopia.

• Practice this week  - This will be our last week of practice for our non-Conference/Invite swimmers. We ask that the week of July 24-28th only be for our swimmers competing in the Tri-County Conference meet or Invite to help prepare our competing swimmers for their end of the season championship meets. 
• Food Drive! - The food drive is back! Each year we run a food drive to help give back to our community. It will run Monday-Friday this week. Please bring in any non-perishable items you wish to donate to our local food pantry. The age-group with the most items donated will receive a special treat at our Awards Night and Pool Party! Totes labeled by age group will be at the outdoor and indoor pool during regular practice times. Please ask a coach if you need help locating them.
• Raffle basket items - This is the last week we will be collecting items for our conference raffle baskets! We are still looking for a few more items for some of our baskets. Please see the sign up geniuses below to see what is still available. All donated items need to be turned in by Friday July 21st to start putting them together for the meet. Thanks in advance for your donations!

• Swim-a-thon donations - We are still collecting Swim-a-thon donations! Donations can be turned into the Swim-a-thon folder in our Pool Shark mailbox at the outdoor pool as soon as possible. The folder has been moved to the front of the bin. Please DO NOT put cash in the folder in the mailbox. If you can write a check for the total, that would be preferred, but if you need to hand in cash, please hand it to Kippie Talmage, Julie Wuerger, or myself. Checks can be made out to Sauk Prairie Pool Sharks. Donations should be placed in an envelope labeled with your swimmer's name and age group. Swim-a-thon awards will be announced at the end of the season Awards night and Pool Party on July 31st.
• SAVE THE DATE - Our end of the season awards ceremony and pool party will be Monday July 31st from 6-8:30pm at the Outdoor Pool. This is open to all Pool Sharks and a great way to celebrate the end of the season. Swim-a-thon and conference awards will be given out, followed by open swim for our Pool Sharks. The baby pool area will not be open. There will be a parent meeting from 6-6:30 in the bleachers. There will not be food, so please feed your swimmers before they come. We hope to see you there!
• Pictures - Pictures from Ziegler photography are IN! If you have not picked them up yet, they are located in your family folder in the Pool Shark mailbox at the outdoor pool.
