Weekly update - Pictures this WEDNESDAY
Greetings Pool Shark families,
Congratulations on our first win and a great first meet! Despite the weather conditions being "less than ideal", our swimmers (and parents) ROCKED IT! We defeated Mazomanie 458-198, and had many compliments from their team on how well we ran the meet. (Especially for it being the first meet of the season and in the rain!) Thank you to all who volunteered! Meets would not be possible without you!
Individual and team results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. Since this was a home meet, all swimmers 10 and under who legally finished their individual races will receive a participation ribbon. We also give ribbons for 10 and under for earning 4th-6th places in individual events. Only 1st place gets ribbons for relays. The mailbox will be placed on a table between the lifeguard office and the concession stand at the outdoor pool during the 5:30 practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes anytime the outdoor pool is open by asking a coach or pool staff member to access it for you.
Team Records update - Some of the team records that were listed in yesterday's heat sheets were inaccurate. We aren't quite sure how that happened, but they have all been updated and are now corrected online and will be correct on our heat sheets moving forward. Because of this, some announcements were made yesterday about records being broken, that were not correct. We apologize for the error. The records that were broken yesterday were:
9/10 girls 50 free - Stella Wuerger
11/12 boys medley relay - Donovan Wuerger, Basil Welch, Max Mereau and Brian Smith
15/18 50 free and IM - Savannah Acker
Congratulations to our record breakers!
The registration deadline for the Meet @ Baraboo (6/15/24) is TOMORROW night (6/10/24) at 11:59 pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already.
The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. Since this is an away meet, we do not need volunteers.
TEAM PICTURES -
TEAM PICTURES ARE THIS WEDNESDAY June 12th @ the outdoor pool - We will NOT have our 5:30pm practice that day due to pictures! Ziegler Photography will be at the outdoor pool from 5-6:45pm to take individual/sibling and age-group pictures. Picture forms are located in the front of the Pool Shark mailbox in a red folder labeled "Picture forms", and will be printed and available for you to fill out at the pool that day. There are also some picture forms located at the indoor pool. You can ask Coach Riley or Ashley for the after practice. Please have payment ready and form filled out when you get in line for the pay station. There will be a Pay station and a photo station. You MUST submit your form and payment at the Pay station before you can get in line for the photo station. This will help move things along as quickly as possible.
The picture schedule is listed below. Please be plan to have your swimmer's picture taken at their scheduled time and be patient with our coaches and photographer. Age-group pictures will be taken AFTER that age-group finishes individual pictures. Please stick around and pay attention after your child takes their individual picture so they do not miss being in the age-group photo. Sibling photos can be taken with the youngest sibling.

Practice reminder - This is a friendly reminder that we ask parents to stay off the deck during practices. If you are at the indoor pool, you can observe practice from the mezzanine and if you are at the outdoor pool, we ask you either sit in the bleachers, or outside the pool fence. The tables on the pool deck are not for parents to sit at during practice. Thanks for understanding!
Thanks again for a GREAT week of practices and first swim meet!
See you at the pool!
