Meet deadline and weekly update
Greetings Pool Shark families,
Congratulations on another great meet! We were just edged out by Baraboo 330-318! That is a VERY close meet! We had lots of great races and a lot of things to continue to work on with our swimmers in the upcoming weeks.
Baraboo had all new people training on Hy-tek and the scores table yesterday, so they are taking some extra time to get our official results and ribbons back to us. I just received the official final score, and the rest of the results will be sent over and posted to our website sometime this evening. Baraboo will be delivering our ribbons early this week. Our coaches will let swimmers know when they are available for pick up in folders when they arrive and have been sorted. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Individual and team results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand at the outdoor pool during the 5:30 practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes anytime the outdoor pool is open by asking a coach or pool staff member to access it for you.
The registration deadline for the Meet @ Sun Prairie (6/22/24) is TOMORROW night (6/17/24) at 11:59 pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already.
The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. Since this is an away meet, we do not need volunteers.
We have a normal week of practices this week. That being said, the weather all week looks like we have the potential for storms most evenings. Please keep an eye on your email if you plan to attend the evening practices this week, and storms are in the forecast. Unfortunately, if we have inclement weather for the evening practices, we will have to cancel practice, and will not be able to move the practice to the indoor pool. They have other programming scheduled at the indoor pool during our practice time this summer. We try to make those decisions about an hour or so before practice. (4:30ish)
You may also want to consider attending our 6:45am practices at the indoor pool. They are hardly ever canceled, and not as highly attended as our evening practices, giving swimmers more space in the pool and individual coaching attention.
Have a great week, and Happy Father's Day to all our amazing swim Dads!
