Greetings Pool Shark families,

Congratulations on another great meet and VICTORY over Sun Prairie! We edged out the Piranhas 329-323! That is a VERY close meet AND the first time our team has EVER beat Sun Prairie! Thank you to all our volunteers for running another smooth and efficient swim meet! Without you, our swim meets would not be possible!

Individual and team results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand at the outdoor pool during the 5:30 practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes anytime the outdoor pool is open by asking a coach or pool staff member to access it for you.

The registration deadline for the Meet @ Mt. Horeb (6/21/25) is TOMORROW night (6/16/25) at 11:59 pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already.

The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. Since this is an away meet, we do not need volunteers.

We have another meet deadline this week. We will host our last home meet of the season against Spring Green next Wednesday night, June 25th to due to a conflict for the Spring Green team on the 28th. The meet will start at 5pm that evening. The registration deadline for the meet vs Spring Green (6/25/25) is this FRIDAY 6/20/25 at 11:59pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already. This is a home meet, so be sure to sign up for a volunteer job if you have a swimmer in the meet to fulfill your volunteer requirement, and to be sure our swimmers have a GREAT home meet experience!

TEAM PICTURES ARE THIS WEDNESDAY June 18th @ the outdoor pool - We will NOT have our 5:30pm practice that day due to pictures! Ziegler Photography will be at the outdoor pool from 5-6:45pm to take individual/sibling and age-group pictures. Picture forms are located in the front of the Pool Shark mailbox in a red folder labeled "Picture forms", and will be printed and available for you to fill out at the pool that day. There are also some picture forms located at the indoor pool. You can ask Coach Riley for them after practice. Please have payment ready and form filled out when you get in line for the pay station. There will be a Pay station and a photo station. You MUST submit your form and payment at the Pay station before you can get in line for the photo station. This will help move things along as quickly as possible.

The picture schedule is listed below. Please be plan to have your swimmer's picture taken at their scheduled time and be patient with our coaches and photographer. Age-group pictures will be taken AFTER that age-group finishes individual pictures. Please stick around and pay attention after your child takes their individual picture so they do not miss being in the age-group photo. Sibling photos can be taken with the youngest sibling.

5-5:30 - 8 and unders

5:30-5:50 - 9-10's

5:50-6:20 - 11-12's

6:20-6:35 - 13-14's

6:35-6:50 - 15-18's/Coaches

Inclement Weather/Picture rain date - The weather all week looks like we have the potential for rain/storms. We try to make weather based decisions at least an hour before the scheduled practice or event. If we end up having to cancel pictures on Wednesday due to weather, the rain date is Thursday at the same time. There is NO makeup picture date. If you are not able to attend the night Ziegler Photography is there to take our pictures, you can email Pam directly to set up an individual photo session at your own cost. 

Please keep an eye on your email this week, if the weather isn't looking so great. Unfortunately, if we have inclement weather for the evening practices, we will likely have to cancel practice. Due to other programming scheduled at the indoor pool during our practice time we are not always able to move the practice to the indoor pool. If we are able to do that, we will let you know. 

You may also want to consider attending our 6:45am practices at the indoor pool. They are hardly ever canceled, and not as highly attended as our evening practices, giving swimmers more space in the pool and individual coaching attention.
