Good evening Pool Shark families,

Congratulations on another great meet and VICTORY over Mt. Horeb! The final score was 351-308. We are now 3-0 in the Conference! :)

Individual and team results are posted on our website under "Meets and Events." Click on "Meet results." They will be posted here after each meet. If your swimmer finished in the top 3 of their individual event, or their relay got 1st place, they earned a ribbon at the meet! Ribbons are in your family folder in the Pool Shark Mailboxes at the outdoor pool. The mailbox will be placed on the bench by the concession stand at the outdoor pool during the 5:30 practices. If it is not there, you can ask a coach for it. Parents or swimmers may access their mailboxes anytime the outdoor pool is open by asking a coach or pool staff member to access it for you.

This week we are hosting Spring Green on Wednesday night for our last home meet of the season at 5pm. We do NOT have a meet this weekend! Enjoy the weekend off! :)

Inclement Weather- The weather all week looks like we have the potential for rain/storms. We try to make weather based decisions at least an hour before practice, and we have agreed to try to make a call about the meet on Wednesday by 3pm. If we have to cancel the meet, we will work with Spring Green to re-schedule and get that date to you as soon as possible.

Please keep an eye on your email this week, if the weather isn't looking great. Unfortunately, if we have inclement weather for the evening practices, we will likely have to cancel practice. Due to other programming scheduled at the indoor pool during our practice time we are not always able to move the practice to the indoor pool. If we are able to do that, we will let you know.

You may also want to consider attending our 6:45am practices at the indoor pool. They are hardly ever canceled, and not as highly attended as our evening practices, giving swimmers more space in the pool and individual coaching attention.

Our next meet is another Wednesday night meet on July 2nd @ Cross Plains, so our families can have the 4th of July weekend off. 

The registration deadline for the meet @ Cross Plains on WEDNESDAY 7/2/25 is this FRIDAY 6/27/25 at 11:59pm. We are asking that you login to declare whether or not you're going to the meet if you have not done so already.The process is simple. Login into your account and go to "Information" and scroll down to "Meet sign up instructions" to sign up for the meet. Since this is an away meet, we do not need volunteers.

Lastly, this is a friendly reminder that we trust our coaches to make the best decisions for our TEAM when they are putting line ups together. Our coaches are all very competitive and strategic. They are very knowledgeable about the other teams and swimmers in our league and plan their lineups accordingly. There is always a purpose to what each swimmer swims at any given meet. We also ask our coaches to try to get times for each swimmer in every event throughout the season if possible, which means, they will be put asking your swimmer to try new things and to sometimes swim events that may not be their favorite. This process is important for our coaches to be able to see what all of our swimmers are capable of, and helps them put the most competitive line up together for our conference swim meet at the end of the season. PLEASE trust the process. If you have questions about why your swimmer is swimming something, please ask their coach. There is always a reason for what they are doing.
