Hello Pool Sharks!

Tomorrow we will be traveling to the Cross Plains outdoor pool. All of our pool addresses and maps are on our website under "Resources", "Pool locations". The address for the Cross Plains outdoor pool is:

If this is your first swim meet, please see the "Swim Meet 101" section under the "Resources" tab on our website, or click the link below to know what to expect and how to prepare for away meets. Since this is an away meet, we do not need volunteers.

Swim meet 101

• Please arrive around 3:45/4pm. Our warm ups start at 4:30 and end at 4:50 pm. The meet will start at 5pm.
• If something happens between now and the start of the meet and your swimmer is not able to attend, please email our Head Coach Riley ASAP to let her know. [email protected]
• If you want to see what your swimmer is swimming in the meet, go to the "Meets and Events" tab on our website and click on the gray meet entry box (that is marked closed). You will be able to see your swimmer(s) and what they are scheduled to swim tomorrow with the event number. If you have not uploaded the free Swimtopia App, it is very helpful in signing your swimmer up for meets and seeing what they are swimming.
• As of right now, the forecast looks great! Please come prepared with pop-ups, sunscreen and plenty of water for yourself and your swimmer(s).
• Tomorrow's theme for the meet is Pajama Party! Come dressed in your favorite PJ's to show your team spirit during the meet! (swimsuit underneath of course!)
• Heat sheets will be for sale at the concession stand as well as other concession items. They will be offering many dinner items such as pulled bbq chicken, burgers, brats, hotdogs, and walking tacos. The concession stand is CASH or Venmo.
• Parking is limited at their facility. You may have to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. You may have 2 - 3 blocks to walk so may want to account for that with wagons and/or drop off and then park.
• The visiting team typically sets up on the diving well side of the pool, by the playground. PLEASE tell your swimmer(s) to stay OFF the playground during the meet. 
• They will be moving up the 8 and under FREE RELAYS. If you have an 8 and under swimming the free relay, it will be swam between events 30 and 31, right after the 15-18 boys backstroke. 
• This is a 25 meter pool, just like our outdoor pool, so you will be able to compare your swimmer's times to the times at our pool. You can find all our conference pool lengths with conversions under "Resources, Pool Lengths".
• Once your child is done swimming all the events they are signed up for, you may leave. If you are not sure, please ask a coach to be sure they are done swimming before you leave.

We are entering the back half of our season. Our coaches are working on refining our swimmer's strokes, starts, and turns. Please be a positive supporter of your child and their efforts, no matter what the outcome. Many of them might be trying something new and may be nervous. Remember, they are trying their best. Encourage them to display good sportsmanship, be good teammates, and have fun!
